The GREY NY Intern Restaurants
If each of us owned a restaurant, this is what we’d name it and, of course, what we’d serve up. Our restaurants, bakeries, and diners are as diverse and interesting as us. Or so we think. Thanks to Edible Brooklyn’s article about the meaning behind restaurant names for the inspiration.
Le Merde - Exotic Delicacies
Cordarro’s restaurant, Le Merde, French for “the shit” would serve international cuisine combining delicious and exotic flavors in an elegant setting.
No Goulash - 24/7 Breakfast Cuisine
Max hates goulash, but loves breakfast. Eggs, cereal, french toast, pancakes, bagels, oatmeal, granola- you name a breakfast food, No Goulash would have it.
Topless Tapas - Appetizers
Clementine wanted to work at a tapas bar once and when she told her friends, they thought she said a, “topless bar.” Her reasoning behind the name? Pretty simple- everyone likes tapas and breasts.
Art. Sugar - Dessert Bakery
Lee would start a sugar-free bakery with dessert and ice cream. It would be situated in a trendy neighborhood where there’s a lot of foot traffic.
Koo - Asian and Italian Fusion
Alex, quite the narcissist, would name her restaurant in honor of herself. She would serve the unusual fusion of Asian and Italian because it is an untapped market
What the Delio? - Deli
Brandon put no thinking into his deli and as a result it will probably go under after a few months. It will also have various healthcode violations because of feral cats on the premises
