Favorite Coffee in NYC
With coffee stands and cafes abound, there is no limit to the different varieties of coffee available in the city, yet why do we continue to walk four blocks to the same street vendor for a medium coffee? Why do we drop over $2 for a medium sized coffee at any one of the chains people love to hate or, viceversa, hate to love. Because there’s always a favorite. One brand or product that touches the heart of a person more so than any other. Coffee, we find, is one of those products. A handful of us drink at least one cup of coffee a day, so we know our tastes. Our favorites?
Clementine: She likes all coffee.
Rauno: Anything with sugar and milk.
Cordarro: Espresso from Mapi Espresso. Why? During the first year of school he told the guy working at Mapi he needed something strong. The dude gave him a double shot and he was bouncing off walls in class.
Alex: White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks. Why? It’s so sweet and topped with whipped cream.
Tim: Coca-Cola (heavy) is his caffeine of choice.
Lee: French Vanilla Iced Coffee from Dunkin Donuts with skim milk and Splenda.
Max: McCafe Regular Coffee with a little milk. Why? Because a few years ago he heard a radio spot that said McDonald’s coffee has a, “buttery aftertaste,” leaving him hooked ever since. That’s proof alone advertising works.
Brandon: Starbucks Coffee. Why? Not because they Starbucks is the trendy or “cool thing” but because they actually burn their coffee.
